My 7D arrived on Friday and the boyfriend and I decided to go hiking at the Tsuga Trail at the Erie National Wildlife Refuge Saturday so I could try it out. The place is a lot prettier then those photos on the site let on.
This is the first day I've had my Canon 100-400MML IS USM lens on my 7D! Huge upgrade for me in mega pixels and quality glass. Very exciting! I'd brought a 15-55MM and a tripod, but didn't touch them. My new lens stayed on the whole time. :love:
I totally enjoyed the new setup. I snapped just under 300 pictures in under 2 hours. So imagine my utter disbelief when I get home. Load my pictures on my computer and start flipp

Gulf Oil Spill Aftermath

After first hearing of the explosion, I think we all knew oil was going to hit land on the gulf coast. What we didn't realize was exactly how much of it was coming. From the first produced estimates of BP for 5,000 gallons a day ... now to the more stark 2,000,000 gallons a day dumping out everyone knew the worst was on its way.
With all this oil hitting shore, I thought it was weird that I wasn't seeing more pictures of the effects down on the coast. Well, today after some looking, I finally found a gallery that locals can submit their pictures to. Not that I have any, being from Pennsylvania.
